Free automated accessibility audit
Audit and repair your PDF for accessibility.
Automated and AI-assisted checks find supported barriers, apply scoped improvements, and document what remains. You review the reading experience before accepting the result.
Important scope: PDF Hound is for everyday business and creative documents, not healthcare, government, legal, regulated, or other high-stakes use. It provides accessibility improvements and evidence, not certification or a complete conformance decision.

Questions we'd ask too
Is this legal advice?
No. PDF Hound provides automated and AI-assessed evidence plus a plain-English Accessibility Improvement Report showing what ran, what changed, and what remains. It is not legal advice, certification, human-specialist verification, or proof that every condition was evaluated.
How are you different from Equidox, PDFix, or a remediation agency?
Those options are often built for specialists, desktop workflows, or large document libraries. We're built for the person who has one document and a deadline: upload it, see the price and exactly what we can and can't fix, pay only for the pages you need, and review the reading experience before download.
Where do my files go?
They're encrypted in transit and at rest and processed automatically. Active free-audit files delete after 30 days. Active paid-repair files stay available while your review or credit return is unresolved, then delete 30 days after acceptance or completed refund. Encrypted disaster-recovery backups may retain a copy for up to 35 additional days; they are isolated from normal product access and swept before any restore returns to service. We never use your files to train AI models.
How long will my audit or repair take?
Timing depends on page count and content. Small digital PDFs may finish while you wait; scans need OCR and larger or more complex documents run as background jobs. PDF Hound shows live stages and gives you a recovery link, so you can leave and return without losing the job.
What's your refund policy?
If a remediation can't pass our validation checks, we credit it back — no questions. Refunds are issued as credits that roll forward to your next document, so you never lose what you paid.
Which PDFs can PDF Hound process?
Free audits cover up to 25 pages. Signed-in customers who have purchased page credits can audit documents up to 200 pages. We support digital or scanned PDFs in English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian, and Dutch, and we preserve and repair safe AcroForm fields. A full-page AI screen confirms material language and processing fit; uncertain results can still receive an audit but are held out of self-serve remediation. We decline unreadable or password-protected files, confirmed material use of unsupported languages, scans whose text cannot be recovered reliably, oversized or unsafe pages, XFA, applied signatures, unsafe form actions, unsupported form controls, and files above the active page limit.
Can PDF Hound handle text inside images?
Yes, where appropriate. PDF Hound uses AI vision to detect meaningful text that is visually embedded in images and graphics, then adds that content to the assistive-technology reading experience. We do not redesign the image, turn the visual text into editable/resizable source text, or fabricate data behind complex charts. If a faithful accessible alternative needs the original data or source design file, we flag that clearly.
How much does it cost?
The audit is free. If you approve the remediation scope, remediation is $5/page. No minimums. No quote required.
